Good Substitutes – The Bodybuilding Fat Loss Diet
If you're one of those people who would like to lose fat and build muscles, you need two things – bodybuilding workout and bodybuilding fat loss diet. Yes, diet. You can't expect to lose body fat without watching what you eat, right? Don’t worry. It's not as bad as you think it is. Diets for bodybuilders don't have to be just the bland and boring fish, greens, and egg whites. You can gorge on healthy substitutes that are so packed with flavor; you won’t feel as if you’re on a diet. Here are a few of the good substitutes.

Switch coffee for green tea. Yes, you need your hot, caffeine fix in the morning. But instead of buying those lattes and cappuccinos, why not opt for green tea instead? If you order green tea, you won't have to add any whipped cream which means you're saving yourself from calorie-filled temptations. Green tea also helps burn more calories than coffee, which means you're able to lose fat and gain muscles faster.
Opt for bodybuilding fat loss diet breakfast foods like 2 slices of toasted wheat bread instead of bagels. Bagels are delicious but when smothered with cream cheese, bagels can be very filling yet fattening. So substitute your bagels with toasted wheat bread. Why toasted? Toasting can lower the glycemic content of the bread, which makes it better for bodybuilding.
Out with the guacamole and in with the salsa. If you’re craving for a Mexican snack like nachos, instead of dipping them in guacamole with fat from the avocados, dip them instead in salsa. It would be better if it's spicy salsa. The capsaicin in peppers can burn calories and fat, which make salsa the better option for a bodybuilder like you. Craving for burgers? Instead of using ground beef, why not use ground turkey instead? Ground turkey is not only a good source of protein, but also has much lower fat than beef. If you’re trying to lose fat and bulk up with muscles, ground turkey will be the better substitute for your ground beef burger patties.
If it's DVD night and you want something to munch on, have some popcorn instead of the oil-drenched, fattening potato chips. Choose the low-fat, un-buttered popcorn as it only has 20 calories a cup. If you want to add more flavor to your popcorn, sprinkle some low-fat Parmesan cheese. Another fine substitute for the chips is some roasted peanuts. Spicy roasted peanuts will be even better.
Tossing some salad for lunch or dinner? Instead of using Caesar dressing, go for vinaigrette instead. The oil and the vinegar content of the vinaigrette dressing are healthier than the creamy Caesar or ranch dressing. If you want the salty and nutty flavor of cheese in your salad, add low-fat Parmesan cheese instead of the usual mozzarella, ricotta, or blue cheese.
Your bodybuilding fat loss diet doesn't have to taste bland and boring. You can ditch the calorie-filled foods for substitutes that are not only healthy, but tasty as well.
